Little Wars 2009 - 200th Anniversary Aspern-Essling Game

15 of 16 spots were taken for this massive game with +1000 miniatures on the table!  After four hours of play and a half dozen turns the Austrians had the upper hand in victory points.  There were four centers of action along the board with everyone getting in the thick of the fight.  Unlike the historical battle we compressed time and units a bit to get everyone in on the action - representing what could have been possible had the Austrian's engineered a more coordinated set of attacks.   A difficult game for just Jack and Kevin to attempt to run, we really appreciated all the players patience!  I think most everyone found the rules a quick study and for the most part by the third turn were playing themselves with only coaching from us.   A great game, with a great crowd of gamers at the table!
